With the expansion of its plant in Ruse (Bulgaria), WITTE is investing in sustainable growth: 25,000 m² of new space, up to 300 new jobs and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies strengthen the site for the mobility of tomorrow.

Velbert/Ruse, July 2025 – WITTE Automotive continues its growth trajectory:
The second plant expansion at the Ruse site in northern Bulgaria has now been officially opened. With around 25,000 square meters of additional building space, the company is doubling its local production capacity and will create up to 300 new jobs. By 2027, the workforce in Bulgaria is expected to grow to over 1,500 employees.

Focus on High-Tech and Modern Workplaces

The new three-level building is directly connected to the existing plant by bridges. In addition to expanded production space, it also houses new testing and inspection laboratories to ensure optimal product and process quality. There is also space for the development and construction of new manufacturing technologies, such as for electronic components, as well as modern offices and spacious common areas.

Inauguration with Political Representatives

High-ranking Bulgarian politicians and representatives of the German Embassy attended the festive inauguration ceremony. They emphasized the importance of the investment for the economic development of northern Bulgaria.

“This expansion is a clear commitment to our Ruse site and the strong dedication of our Bulgarian team,” said WITTE CEO Rainer Gölz. “In addition to production growth, we are placing great emphasis on modern working conditions and environmental responsibility.”

Strategic Expansion in Europe

With the expansion in the Danube city of Ruse and the recent launch of a new plant in Ostrov, Czech Republic, WITTE Automotive continues to grow its manufacturing footprint in Europe. In Ruse alone, more than 80 new OEM series projects will be launched by 2027.
