Tailgate locking
The WITTE Comfort solution sets new standards in tailgate locking and ensures a pleasant user experience by eliminating annoying noises and significantly increasing ease of use. One outstanding feature is the soft release mechanism, which enables smooth opening of all powered tailgates. This mechanism prevents the typical "popping" and instead ensures smooth and quiet opening. This improves the acoustics in the vehicle and gives a higher-quality impression.
In addition, Tailgate locking solution has an integrated closing aid that helps the tailgate to close quietly and smoothly. This function eliminates the usual back-running noise of many conventional systems and contributes significantly to a comfortable driving experience, which underlines the quality of modern vehicles.
The WITTE system meets the highest security standards with fewer screws, reduced weight and no additional components. The solution can be flexibly integrated into tailgates or vehicle bodies, ensuring maximum adaptability to different vehicle types and models.
Front Hood locking
The Witte Comfort solution allows the front hood to be opened without direct contact with the mechanism or the space under the hood to release the safety hook. As with the tailgate, ensures a pleasant user experience by eliminating annoying noises and significantly increasing ease of use.
There are two basic designs, the so-called "double pull" system, where a double pull can open the lock from the security position. Or "single pull" where the safety hook is separate and also has a separate release. The system is selected according to the structure of the front of the car.
The front hood latch is designed in a modular way where functions can be added/removed based on the requirement/type of vehicle. The latch can by operate fully mechanically by the bovdenâs or an electric gear can be added and the latch can be opened fully electrically. If required (e.g. for FRUNK system) an integrated closing mechanism can by add, to help the front hood close quietly and smoothly. The latch can also be equipped with a pop-up function to open the front hood in the correct way. This system fulfils the highest safety standards, it is equipped with a "safety first" function which means that the free lying front hood is always in a locked position before starting to drive.
