WITTE Automotive brings education and industry together

  • Date:

At its production sites around the world, WITTE Automotive supports education and career guidance for young people. Working closely with schools and universities, the company provides insights into modern industry and sparks interest in technical careers. One example of this Group-wide commitment is WITTE’s long-standing collaboration with educational institutions in the Czech Republic—a commitment that has now earned the company an award.

In the 2025/2026 school year alone, around 400 pupils and students participated in educational activities offered by WITTE Automotive in the Czech Republic. During plant tours tailored to their respective fields of study, they explored modern production processes and a wide range of career opportunities—from engineering and electronics to logistics, procurement, finance, and other business functions.

One special initiative was a hands-on technical after-school program organized together with Hroznětín Primary School and supported by the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Karlovy Vary Region. The participating children designed and built their own bird feeders—from the initial idea and prototype to the finished product. Working with wood, LED technology, hand tools, and 3D printing, they tested their technical skills, developed their creativity, and strengthened their ability to work as a team. The completed bird feeders have already been installed at selected locations in Hroznětín.

“Hands-on projects show children that technology can be creative, exciting, and useful at the same time. Through our collaboration with WITTE Automotive, they experience activities they would rarely encounter in the regular classroom. This can provide valuable inspiration for their future educational and career choices,” explains Mgr. Jaroslava Tomáňová, Principal of Hroznětín Primary School.

WITTE Automotive’s long-standing educational partners in the Czech Republic include ISŠTE Sokolov, SPŠ Ostrov, SOŠ Karlovy Vary, Logistická škola Dalovice, and Hroznětín Primary School. The company also collaborates with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the Czech Technical University in Prague. Together, these partners create a wide range of opportunities to connect theory with practice and introduce young people to technical careers.

Recognition of a long-standing commitment

ISŠTE Sokolov recognized this commitment on June 9, 2026, by naming WITTE Automotive “Exemplary Company of the Year for Cooperation in Vocational Education.” The school’s Headmaster, Mgr. Pavel Janus, presented the award in recognition of WITTE’s long-standing support and close collaboration with the school.

“Connecting education with real-world business experience is an important investment in the future. We want to do more than introduce young people to modern manufacturing: We want to inspire them to pursue technical careers and show them the wide range of opportunities these fields offer for personal and professional development,” says Lucie Holoubová, HR Manager at WITTE Automotive in Czechia.

WITTE Automotive in the Czech Republic will continue to offer plant tours, expand its technical after-school program, and develop new educational activities together with schools across the region during the coming school year. In doing so, the Czech sites are continuing a commitment that WITTE pursues worldwide: providing young people with hands-on experience, opening up career opportunities, and strengthening technical education at its production locations.
