AI@WITTE: Ondřej Klener ranked among the top four digital leaders in the Czech Republic

  • Date:

Our colleague Ondřej Klener, Operations Technology Manager of our Czech plants, has been recognized as one of the top four digital leaders in the Czech Republic. He reached the final of the Digital Future Awards 2026, organized by the Czech Innovation Platform on March 18. This award recognizes individuals who actively drive digital transformation and create tangible added value for companies and employees. At the same time, it highlights that our practical and people-centered approach is also convincing in an international context.

AI Ambassadors as part of nextWITTE

Ondřej Klener impressed the jury with the WITTE AI Ambassadors initiative. Its goal is to enable employees to use AI directly in their daily work, create their own solutions, and share best practices across the company. This leads to concrete improvements – from more efficient processes to reducing routine tasks.

“This program is a key part of our company-wide digitalization strategy nextWITTE,” explains Anne-Katrin Brinkmann, who is responsible for strategic development at WITTE. “Our goal is to develop digitalization technologically, firmly anchor it in everyday work, and make it accessible to everyone.” Strong support across the company is essential – many colleagues are actively contributing to further development and are part of the AI Ambassadors initiative. Ondřej Klener experienced this throughout the competition: “I was genuinely surprised by how many people reached out to me – from my team and from across the wider network. In those moments, I realized that this is not about an individual, but about what we are building together.”

The Digital Future Awards final is therefore not only a personal milestone, but also a strong signal that WITTE Automotive is among the companies that can translate digital transformation into real value in everyday practice.

Why AI is key for WITTE

As a supplier to the automotive industry, AI helps us increase efficiency, ensure quality, and accelerate innovation. At the same time, it enables employees – both on the shopfloor and in administrative roles – to automate routine tasks and focus on activities with higher added value.

This result confirms the direction we are taking at WITTE – building digitalization on people and their real work.

We need people like Ondřej to achieve this. We warmly congratulate him on this outstanding success and thank him for his commitment and valuable contribution to the digital advancement of WITTE Automotive!
