WITTE Automotive is further expanding its market position and presence in Eastern Europe. Following a majority stake in the Bulgarian specialist for plastic injection molding in September 2023, the WITTE Group has now completed the merger. The production area will be expanded by half and equipped with the latest technologies.
As of September 18, 2023, WITTE Automotive had acquired a majority stake in the Bulgarian Tier 2 automotive supplier Forez BG and renamed it WITTE Injection Molding Bulgaria. With the publication in the Bulgarian commercial register on July 16, 2024, the acquisition was fully completed on April 4, 2024, and the company was merged with WITTE Automotive Bulgaria.
“This is a decisive step for the development of our company in Bulgaria,” explains Kersten Janik, COO of the WITTE Group. “We need plastic injection technology on site in Bulgaria.” The area of the new production site in Ruse, with a previous production area of 1,200 square meters for plastic injection molding, is currently being expanded by about half and is being invested in the latest production technology.
“In order to meet the increasing demand for our innovative products, we are also currently doubling the production area of the WITTE main plant in Bulgaria by building a third hall,” Kersten Janik describes the positive development of the locations in Bulgaria. The new hall will be fully operational in 2025.
In addition to mechatronic locking systems for front and rear doors, a product focus of WITTE Bulgaria is the highly successful WITOL tolerance compensation system. As part of the expansion of the production area, the space for WITOL will also be significantly increased.
