Velbert (10.04.2008) Automobile supplier WITTE Automotive (Velbert) gets now the supplier-award of the vehicle manufacturer Honda for outstanding work in quality management. WITTE Automotive is delivering the inner as well as outer door handle for the Honda CRV, which is produced in Swindon (GB) and is on the market since the end of 2006.

WITTE Automotive located in Velbert and manufacturer of vehicle access systems acquires Friedr. Fingscheidt, with headquarters also in Velbert. The deal was sealed by both companies signing the agreement on February 29, 2008. Friedr. Fingscheidt GmbH - known in the industry as manufacturer of the Mercedes Benz hood star - with plants in Velbert and Wülfrath - will operate under the name Fingscheidt Automotive“ within the WITTE Group.

Students of the Technical University in Liberec have tested granulates for plastics production of WITTE Automotive in Nejdek since December 2007. Future specialists from the metal and plastics forming department have closely co-operated with the development department of the Nejdek producer of car lock systems and car door handles on determining specific properties of plastic materials and their fatigue curves. By the end of February WITTE Automotive will have supplied more than twenty sorts of granulates to Liberec, which will be tested by TUL students at various temperatures and load intensities. The project results, compiled as diploma works, should be known in May 2008.

A jubilee two hundred thousandth door handle for the car Škoda Roomster will be manufactured by the company WITTE Automotive in Nejdek this year already. From its development to its production, this outer door handle with ergonomic parametric is completely made in the Nejdek plant. The company WITTE Automotive in Nejdek completes daily about 800 pieces of these door handles.
