On the occasion of the Honda Supplier Convention 2008, which took place in Gloucestershire this year, Mr. Suguru Kanazawa, Executive Vice President – Honda Motor Europe, Managing Director – Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd.  handed over this important award to WITTE-CEO Rainer Gölz. „Honda confirms us their trust in the high quality of our products and processes by this award. This award gives us special pleasure, because Honda is a relatively new customer for us and makes high demands on its suppliers“, explains Rainer Gölz. 

The business relations to Honda developed about 3 years ago. At that time ADAC Automotive, Grand Rapids (USA), joined as further specialist for vehicle access systems the worldwide VAST (Vehicle Access Systems Technology) Alliance. As one of the first common projects ADAC Automotive handed over the European production of door handles for the Honda CRV to WITTE Automotive. After intensive internal preparations as well as customer quality audits, WITTE is delivering the handles from its company in Velbert since the beginning of the serial production.

Not least the quality award reflects the active cooperation at all levels between Honda and the WITTE Group. Last year a Velbert production team took part in the Honda „Supplier Quality Circle Convention“ in Birmingham – likewise with great success.
